Baptist Educators
projects_education_educationphto1.jpgBaptist Educators is the newest ministry of North Carolina Baptist Men. The Fellowship of Baptist Educators is a service organization of more than 600 Baptist educators who use their educational skills to fulfill the Great Commission by “…teaching them to obey everything I have taught you.” Matthew 28:20a

There are three avenues of involvement through Baptist Educators:

Link Christian young people with students overseas who want to practice their English through Christian corresponders.

Each year there is communication with more than 2000 students who live overseas and want pen pals. To request letters for your group to answer, contact:

2. GLOBAL TEACHING

Use your skills in short or long term teaching around the world.
The Baptist Educators’ newsletter, Educomis, offers information about opportunities to work in cooperation with Baptist mission schools, conventions, unions, and fellowships all over the world. Our members include teachers of every age level, preschool through university. Administrators, coaches, librarians, and counselors also participate. A membership application is available on the Baptist Educators website, www.shelby.net/~baptisteducators. People all around the world are hungry to hear the truth about Christ conveyed by caring teachers.

3. BOOK-LINK

Touch the world through books. Baptist Educators sponsors Book-Link which collects and ships Bibles and Christian study materials all over the world to missionaries, national pastors, and school libraries which can use materials in English. In a typical year, Book-Link ships more than 86,000 Christian books, tracts, cassette tapes, videos, maps and teaching pictures donated by churches and individuals. Booklink shipping costs have risen to $2.40 (US) a pound. All work is done by volunteers. If you are interested in helping through money and book donations or as a volunteer, contact Book-Link’s international headquarters: nfbebooklink@cs.com or phone 606.379.2140 or 704.434.9392.
