Lay Witness

The primary purpose of the Lay Witness ministry is to train and enable men, women, boys and girls to share their faith. The Bible teaches the importance of one sharing their faith. Nowhere does the Bible leave options for Christians to choose not to share their faith. The Baptist Lay Witnessing Foundation takes seriously the Great Commission to share the Good News to a lost world. Over 67% of the United States is unchurched. You can make a difference.

The ministry was begun out of a need for laymen to be available to share their witness in an organized manner through a weekend experience in a local church. This was done with the full understanding and endorsement of the Baptist State Convention of NC.

How Do Lay Witness Weekends Work?

The weekend coordinator and team members give their time, pay their own expenses and expect no remuneration. The church is asked to provide lodging and meals in the homes for the visiting team members. There is no required charge to the church. The visiting team members will pair up with church members to go out into the community. The church members can observe the visiting team members if they do not feel comfortable sharing.
