Participate in Life-Changing Ministry Taking Place in Bihar, India
Individuals, mission groups, Sunday School classes, and congregations have the opportunity to participate in a meaningful and life-changing ministry taking place in the state of Bihar, India. Bihar is one of the poorest states in all of India. Some of the major problems encountered by Biharans include very poor health care, high infant mortality, limited access to clean water, and an illiteracy rate of nearly 50 percent. Located in the northern part of the country, less than one half of one percent of the population is Christian. However, that is beginning to change through the efforts of a ministry called T.I.M.

What is T.I.M.?
T.I.M. stands for Transform India Movement. Begun by Pastor Biju Thomas, TIM seeks to train and place church planters in villages where there is currently no access to the Christian Gospel. TIM seeks to impact these villages physically and spiritually with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

How Can We Help?
There are several ways you can help in this effort by partnering with T.I.M. through NC Baptist Men. Contact Kecia Morgan of NC Baptist Men at 1-800-395-5102 x 5613 or by e-mail at kmorgan@ncbaptist.org if you would like to help. Here's some options:

   Adopt-A-Village
For $2800, you can adopt a village in Bihar. These funds will provide: a must needed clean drinking well for the village, an ongoing literacy school led by a Christian teacher, a one-time medical clinic, 200 Bibles, and hymnals. That village is also then serviced by one of the trained church planters with the goal of starting a church.

  Sponsor a Well:
For $800 you can sponsor the digging of a well. Most villages do not have clean drinking water. Unlike many of the open bore wells in India, these wells are deep (as much as 300 feet)and provide clean, safe water. Each well is dedicated with a Christian service. Scripture written in Hindi proclaiming Jesus as the giver of "living water". (See video below.)

  Sponsor a Church Planter:
For $100 a month, $1200 per year, you can sponsor the work of a church planter. Each church planter goes through a series of training sessions that prepare them for their task. After being appointed, each one is assigned a number of villages to work in. TIM maintains support through on-going training and encouragement.
