Baptists On Mission

India

Nagaland, India (Thresher Project)
For many years, NC Baptist Men have partnered with the Ladakh Development Foundation (LDF) in India. Through this effort, teams have taken portable barley threshers into remote villages in the Himalayan mountains of India. These areas are heavily Buddhist. The thresher project has provided an incredible open door to build relationships among the Buddhist people. New areas have opened up for this ministry in 2014 and beyond.

Factory Construction. Two teams of 8-10 are needed to assist in the construction of a small factory for portable, gas-operated threshing machines. Teams will construct a thresher factory in Dimapur, Nagaland, India. The structure will be cement block with a tin roof, approximately 30’ x 60’. The October 2014 team (12-25) will primarily be involved in block laying. Team will need at least three knowledgeable block layers and several strong backs. The January 2015 team (18-31) will put the roof on, install doors, ect.

Cost. The estimated cost of the trip will be approximately $2600 – 2800, depending on the cost of airline tickets at time of purchase This includes round-trip airfare to Dimapur, Nagaland, India, in-country transportation, lodging, meals, volunteer insurance, and Indian visa.

Bihar, India
From time to time, North Carolina Baptist Men sponsor mission and vision trips to Bihar, India. These teams travel to witness and participate in the work that God is doing in Bihar, one of India's poorest states. Team members have the opportunity to share testimony, preach, teach, and otherwise fellowship with and encourage both believers and seekers.

Cost of these trips vary depending on airline costs and dates of travel. Current trip information is listed below.
