 Grifton Mission Ministries grew out of the need to build homes for needy families in Pitt County, NC. Originally the Grifton site was a Disaster Recovery Center. Thousands of volunteers renovated flooded homes after Hurricane Floyd in 1999. Today, Grifton Mission Ministries Director, Billy Tarlton, organizes volunteers and new home construction sites for families in need of a home.
The majority of the work out of GMM is construction. However, periodically there is a need to assist with the facility maintenance and other various projects. During disaster season volunteers may be needed to help with logistics.
