Shelby Mission Camp
Purpose
The goal of NC Baptist Men’s Shelby Mission Camp is to involve churches (men, women and youth) in missions. As we serve together, using our God given skills, God will open doors for many spiritual needs to be met. Construction projects are planned well in advance of your mission trip. In preparation, the camp director will meet with local churches, associations, and community leaders. Evangelistic opportunities such as Backyard Bible Schools, Sport Camps and other community ministries can also be set up by the camp director if the team desires. Eddie and Martha Williams serve as our mission camp coordinator. They are looking forward with great anticipation to serving with thousands of you who want to come on missions to Shelby and help build God's Kingdom! Please come join us!
Facilities
Shelby Mission Camp currently has two new metals buildings on 12 acres of land with another 30 acres for future development plans. We have one building which will eventually house, feed and sleep 200 mission volunteers per day. The other building will be used to store buildings materials and tools. We are still under construction but have had a busy and exciting summer with over 1000 volunteer days! The volunteers have come from NC, SC, and GA, and have completed several community projects including wheel chair ramps, roof repairs, painting, mowing, cleaning yards, and planting grass. We also had several Backyard Bible Clubs, sport camps and harvested potatoes planted here at the mission camp to help those in need. Other volunteers have helped in finishing the interior of the bunkhouse and warehouse.
Current Needs
We need volunteers to help with framing, heating & air, electrical, sheet rock, and painting to complete the interior of the buildings. We have three mobile units and a shower trailer for volunteers to use until we get the buildings completed. Please contact the NC Baptist Men's office
to schedule your mission trip.
