Replace Church Windows
Pownal, VT
One team of 4-8 volunteers is needed to replace twelve windows in the lower level of a 100 year old church with vinyl energy-efficient windows. Originator or partnership coordinator will measure and order windows after team commits and supplies $1000 to help with purchase. Team will need to supply their personal tools. Volunteers with carpentry, window replacement and people skills would be helpful. Team will need to provide own transportation. Team can stay in local motels or at Grace Christian School in Bennington (10 miles, at $10/night) Contact requestor for assistance and information. Team will need to provide own food, but meals may be prepared at the church or Grace Christian School.
Length of assignment: One week
Preferred Dates: May – Oct 2012
Costs: Travel to VT, lodging, food and materials up to $1000
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field.
