Street Ministry/Prayerwalking
Burlington, VT
Two to three teams of 6-8 volunteers is needed to do ministry on the downtown streets in Burlington, VT. Volunteers will need to be able to share their faith without being judgmental. Volunteers must be able to work with homeless and street types, as well as locals and tourist. Teams will man a bible booth also and will participate in a 24 hour prayer walk. Team will need to provide own transportation. Team will need to make own housing arrangements. Requestor can help with options. Team will need to provide own food.
Length of assignment: 4-5 days, must be here for a Friday Night
Preferred Dates: May – Sept. 2012
Costs: Travel to VT, lodging, food
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field. The cost of this insurance is $5 per person and covers up to 10 days. If you have any questions about this insurance please see your team leader or call NC Baptist Men at 1-800-395-5102 x 5596.
