Home Repair
Northfield VT
Teams of 8-12 volunteers are needed to help church aid families with rebuilding effort in the wake of hurricane Irene. Work would include sheetrock, mudding/tapping, painting, carpentry etc. Volunteers with a servant’s heart, missionary mid-set, ability to share their faith, experience with insulation, installing sheetrock, etc. would be helpful. We would like for at least one person on team with professional experience. Church and homeowners would provide materials. Teams should bring own tools. Teams need to provide own transportation and housing. Calef house or local hotels options are available. Teams are responsible for some meals. Church will provide at least one dinner and lunches. Team can cook at Washington Baptist Church if staying at the Calef House.
Length of assignment: One week
Preferred Dates: May – Sept 2012
Costs: Travel to VT, food, lodging
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field.
