Renovate Basement
Sheffield, VT
One team of 6-8 volunteer is needed to remove old ductwork from basement of pastor’s home. Build supports for existing floor joists for the rest of the house as need. Volunteers will also assist the pastor in other work as needed to stabilize old house. Volunteers with experience in demolition and people skills would be helpful. Team will need to bring tools. Team will need to provide own transportation. Team may be able to stay in the pastor’s home, stay at the local motel in St. Johnsbury, or retreat center in nearby Barnet. Pastor will provide information on lodging options. Team will need to provide own food. Church kitchen is available at house and retreat center.
Length of assignment: One week
Preferred Dates: May – July 2012
Costs: Travel to VA, food, lodging
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field.
