House Repairs for Elderly
Montpelier, VT
Teams of 4-12 volunteers are needed to do renovation on homes for elderly and disabled residents. Team will be working through local Baptist church in conjunction with Central Vermont Council on Aging. Teams may need to help with paying for building materials. Team will need to provide own transportation to Vermont. Teams of up to 20 may stay at the host church. Team will need to provide own food but can cook in church kitchen. Details can be worked out with requestor.
Length of Assignment: One week
Preferred Dates: June - October 2012
Costs: Travel to Vermont, food, lodging, and some building supplies
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field. The cost of this insurance is $5 per person and covers up to 10 days. If you have any questions about this insurance please see your team leader or call NC Baptist Men at 1-800-395-5102 x 5596.
