Food Bank
Barre, Vermont
Teams of 2-8 volunteers are needed to assist with serving meals at the Vermont food bank to receive credit on behalf of soup kitchen ministry inSt. Johnsbury. Volunteers who have a desire to serve and who love working with people would be helpful. Team will need to provide own transportation and make own housing arrangements. Local motels are available. Calef House in Washington VT may be available for $10/night. Team will need to provide own food. Team may use kitchen in Washington Baptist Church to prepare meals if no other teams are scheduled that week.
Length of assignment: One week
Preferred Dates: May - Sept, 2012
Costs: Travel to Vermont, food, lodging
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field. The cost of this insurance is $5 per person and covers up to 10 days. If you have any questions about this insurance please see your team leader or call NC Baptist Men at 1-800-395-5102 x 5596.
