Thrift Store/Soup Kitchen
St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Teams of 2-8 volunteers are needed to assist with sorting and cleaning thrift store donations. Team will also need to assist with cooking and serving at the soup kitchen. Volunteers who enjoy people, have people skills would be helpful. Team would need to provide own transportation. Team will need to provide own housing and meals. Housing may be arranged at a nearby Presbyterian mission house. (Discuss this with requestor). Meals could be prepared at the Mission house if staying there. Lunch on Tuesday and Thursday will be provided at soup kitchen.
Length of assignment: One week
Preferred Dates: March - October, 2012
Costs: Travel to Vermont, food, lodging
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field.
