Classroom Construction at new Baptist College
Bennington, Vermont
Teams of 4-20 volunteers are needed to complete construction on classrooms and offices for a new Baptist college being built on the third and fourth floors of a Christian K-12 school. The building work will include hanging and finishing sheetrock, supervised minor electrical work, painting, assembling furniture, trim molding, flooring and final touch-up. Teams would work from 3:00 to 10:00 pm daily, as school will be in during the day. Volunteers should have experience in construction, particularly hanging and finishing drywall, finish carpentry and paint will be helpful. Team will need to provide own transportation. Teams may stay at Capstone Baptist Church (approx... 3 mi). Small donation suggested to pay for utilities. Team will need to provide their food. Capstone Baptist has a kitchen and showers for team’s use.
Length of assignment: Open
Preferred Dates: January – June 2012
Cost: Travel to Vermont, food, lodging
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field.
