Community Urban Garden/Food Pantry
Delaware County, Pennsylvania
Team is needed for project ts related to the construction of a Community Garden on church property. Volunteers will build seven raised beds, install pathways, assemble a cedar entry arbor with gate and sign and construct an irrigation/water management system. Volunteers with gardening and basic carpentry skills are needed. Team will need to assist some with materials cost (requestor will provide list). Team will need to provide transportation to PA. Lodging/showers are available at the church. Team may prepare food at the church kitchen and fellowship hall.
Length of assignment: Five days
Preferred Day: March 1 – May 7, 2012
Cost: Travel to PA, food
Volunteer Insurance: Each Individual is requested to purchase voluntary missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field. The cost of this insurane is $5 per person and covers up to 10 days. If you have any questions about this insurance please see your team leader or contact NC Baptist Men at 1-800-395-5102 x 5596.
