NE10-005
Construction/Home Repair
Sheffield, VT
One team of 8-10 people is needed to construct a sunroom/mini-conference room as an addition to the pastors’ house. Room will be used for conferences and meetings. (The old church has burned down and the new church to be constructed
will be a modular with limited space). This room will also be used as a place to grow starter plants for a planned garden project. Most building materials will be supplied as rough-cut lumber by the pastor. Team may want to supply a few hundred dollars for bolts, nails, glass, caulking, and other incidentals. An empty house is available (former parsonage). It has one bath. A campground is nearby but expensive. Team may choose to stay at Lyndon State College and local motels. Team will need to provide own food. A kitchen is available in the house.
Length of assignment: One Week
Preferred Dates: May-October 2010
Cost: Travel to Vermont, Lodging, Food, some building material costs
