Various Construction Projects/Prayerwalking
Waikoloa, HI
Multiple teams of 10-12 volunteers are needed to help church with several building/renovation projects. Projects could include building a small 3 bdr, 2 bath house for church youth pastor, finishing a 3 car garage for a youth building, moving playground equipment for church daycare, building covered play area, extending current sanctuary 18’ on one end and 24’ on the other end, and constructing a new roof. Projects will cover a span from March – November 2012. If churches could contribute $2,000-4,000 to help with materials it would help greatly. Specific tasks will depend on the work previous teams accomplish. Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other construction skills will be needed. Two mini vans are available for teams to use while there. Bunk bed lodging is available – contact requestor for details. Teams will need to provide own food and meals can be cooked in the parsonage. Or teams can pay $15 a day per person for all three meals
Length of assignment: 7, 10, or 14 days
Preferred Dates: March – November 2012
Costs: Travel to Hawaii, food, some materials cost if possible
Volunteer Insurance: Each Individual is requested to purchase voluntary missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field.
