Maintenance/Light Construction/Landscaping
Oahu, Hawaii
Teams of 8-15 are needed to make construction improvements of existing camp facilities. Tasks such as replacing screens, replacing kitchen cabinets, repairing plumbing, repairing flooring, replacing skirting (lattice work), and more, are needed. May include some painting and landscaping. Need teams that are skilled in these areas and ready to work hard. Local transportation will be provided for up to 20 people. Team will stay at camp ($30 per person per day will include housing and food.)
Length of assignment: One to two weeks
Date of project: October 2011 – May 2012
August 15, 2012 – December 2012 (specific dates will be negotiated with requestor)
Costs: Flight to Honolulu, $30 per person per day; van rental
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field. The cost of this insurance is $5 per person and covers up to 10 days.
