Teams of 10-20 volunteers are needed to assist in reaching the local community for Christ. The volunteer teams may serve in variety of areas including VBS, ministry to women’s prison birthing center, men and women’s prison ministry, visiting shut-ins, home repair, nursing home, BYBC community evangelism and survey along with youth ministries. Volunteers who have experience in VBS, bible studies, crafts have a love for people and music are needed. Team may need to provide building and outreach supplies, depending on the project. Team leader can discuss with requestor. Teams can stay at church or nearby camp with showers and kitchen. Teams will need to provide own food for meals. Note:
Teams who plan to do children’s ministry will be responsible for conducting professional background checks on all team members over the age of 18. Team leaders will be sent information from NC Baptist Men concerning options for this.
Length of assignment: Five days
Preferred Dates: May – September 2014
Cost: Travel to West Virginia, food and lodging
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase voluntary missionary insurance which cover them in case of an accident while on the mission field.
