Installing New Roof
Clarksburg, WV
One team of 10-20 volunteers is need to remove existing slate roof and install new metal roof on pastors home. This is an older home with steep pitch roof. Team will need to work in heights greater than 15 feet. Scaffolding and ladders are available. Please contact requester to get specific details. Volunteers who have good roofing skills, not afraid of heights, knowledge of ladders and/or scaffolding and in good physical health will be helpful. Requestor will provide materials. Team will need to provide own transportation. Team may possible stay in pastor’s home or local church. Motels are available – contact requester for details. Team would need to provide own food and meals may be cooked at pastors home or local church.
Length of assignment: One week
Preferred dates: May – Oct 2012
Cost: Travel to West Virginia, food
Volunteer Insurance: Each individual is requested to purchase volunteer missionary insurance which covers them in case of an accident while on the mission field. The cost of this insurance is $5 per person and covers up to 10 days. If you have questions about this insurance please see your team leader or call NC Baptist Men at 1-800-395-5102 x 5596.
