Medical teams are still needed for Haiti in November and December.
Mission "going" would not be complete without mission "giving".
The Executive Committee of North Carolina Baptist Men approved the purchase of a new mobile dental unit. The design of mobile medical/dental units has greatly improved and expanded in the past ten years. Buses, RV’s, trucks and vans are being customized as mobile units. Today’s units provide spacious work areas and the latest in dental technology. A new unit includes two dental exam rooms with a sterilization center, similar to the buses we have now. Upgrades to dental equipment will include digital x-ray processing. Professional stericenters will be designed to improve the workflow in the sterilization area. Computers, DVD's and flatscreen monitors will aid in the education of good oral hygiene. The new unit was built with walls that slide out providing spacious exam rooms. The dental ministry continues to grow as the need for free dental care continues to grow. More churches and non-profit organizations are sponsoring free dental clinics; more volunteers are offering their services to meet these needs. Most importantly, more people are being touched by the love of Jesus Christ through this ministry.
Your help and financial support are needed to finish raising the $450,000 to purchase a new mobile dental unit. $390,000 has been raised so far toward the cost of the new unit. $60,000 is still needed.
