Camp Caraway

We're glad you've taken the time to visit with us. Camp Caraway is a camp for boys, sponsored by North Carolina Baptist Men, an auxiliary to the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Boys do not need to be Baptist to attend. We also have a Christian backpacking program called Christian High Adventure, featuring male-only and coed trips. Our camp is located in the beautiful Uwharrie Mountains, seven miles west of Asheboro, North Carolina. Since 1963 more than 60,000 boys have been challenged toward strengthening their Christian walk at Caraway. So check us out. We'd love to have your son join us and "come grow with the experience" this summer!

Camp Caraway bases its program on the Christian idea that each boy is a person of worth, created in the image of God. Each boy is important and each has something unique and significant to contribute to the camp. This idea is applied to every activity and to every aspect of the camp program. The key to North Carolina's future lies with the campers of today. Our goal is to instill within each camper the desire to be all that God created him to be.

Camp Caraway is the perfect retreat location in North Carolina from August through May. After summer camp ends, Camp Caraway is busy hosting youth retreats, school programs, college organizations, and specialty camps. Many exciting activities from summer camp are available throughout the year. Camp Caraway provides additional program options including team building, ropes courses, environmental education, and recreation ranging from paintball to canoeing. Camp Caraway’s central, convenient location in North Carolina makes it a popular retreat location for church groups, educational institutions, and other non-profit organizations.
