Louisiana Flood

As many of you know, Louisiana has seen significant flooding over the past several days reaching locations not flooded in recent memory.  We have been monitoring the flood and communicating with the Louisiana Baptist leadership offering assistance.

At this time, we will not be managing the work site in Louisiana but we have offered to send recovery teams to help those in need.  Housing, showers, food, etc. will be provided at the site which may be in the Hammond area but this could change.  You will be informed before you depart.

The recovery operation will probably last to mid-October or so.

Teams should plan to take the necessary tools and equipment to perform cleanup type activity.

Please pray for the affected homeowners, Louisiana Baptists, and the many volunteers that are helping.

If you can participate, please sign up at www.baptistsonmission.org/louisianaflood.

Carolina Rebuild

95 affected homeowners have been helped this year alone in Johnsonville, South Carolina.  Their homes were affected by the record flooding in the fall 2015.  We have over 100 jobs to go so more help is needed.  Many different skills are needed but we especially need help with roofing/tarping.  Come help us!  Sign up at www.baptistsonmission.org/carolinarebuild

West Virginia Flood

Historical flooding in June 2015 damaged or destroyed homes in three parts of West Virginia.  One of the major areas affected was Richwood in Nicholas County.  Volunteers have been working there now for almost 2 months helping homeowners cleanup the mess.  We are transitioning now to a rebuild effort.  We still need your help and look forward to seeing you there.  Sign up at www.baptistsonmission.org/wvflood.
